Set your ratings-based deductions aside. The Elementary TV show has been renewed for season six on on CBS. The modern-day Sherlock Holmes TV series adaptation has evaded the Television Vulture, for yet another season.
Set in New York City, Elementary follows detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Dr. Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). The CBS cast also includes Aidan Quinn as Captain Thomas Gregson and Jon Michael Hill as Detective Marcus Bell. Together, they investigate the Big Apple’s trickiest cases.
In mid-April, we polled our readers and asked if they would watch a sixth season of Elementary. As of drafting this article, 87% said they would, while 4% voted “no,” and 9% gave it a “maybe.” What do you say? The poll is still open. Vote now.
Elementary: A Look at the Ratings
The fifth and final season of Elementary is averaging a 0.65 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.878 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 32.15% and 15.01%, respectively. When you compare how the Elementary ratings stack up against those of other CBS TV shows, this renewal means luck is on the side of Elementary viewers.
