English Teacher is coming soon to FX, and the cable network has released a new trailer teasing the comedy series.
The English Teacher series, created by and starring Brian Jordan Alvarez, follows high school teacher Evan Marquez (Alvarez) as he tries to balance the needs of the students, parents, and other teachers at his school. Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, and Sean Patton also star in the series.
“Brian is an incredibly talented writer, actor, and creator who has fully delivered on his vision for English Teacher,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment. “Together with a creative team featuring Paul Simms and Jonathan Krisel, along with this brilliant cast, they have created a hilarious, original comedy that is fresh, engaging and fun.”
FX shared the following about the series:
FX’s English Teacher stars Brian Jordan Alvarez as “Evan Marquez,” a high school teacher in Austin, Texas who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional and political aspects of working at a high school. Evan wants to be a principled person but often runs into trouble because of it.
English Teacher is executive produced by Alvarez, Paul Simms, Jonathan Krisel, and Dave King. FX Productions produces the show.
All eight episodes will debut on September 2nd. The trailer for the comedy series is below.
