TV show description:
Set in New York City, this thriller TV series is based on the novel by R. L. Stine. It revolves around Lindy Sampson (Victoria Justice), a brilliant 21-year-old hacker from the Chicago suburbs. She has a gift for seeing clues and connections in the digital world that others can’t.

She’s been heavily impacted by the horrific abduction of her younger sister, Sara (Jordyn DiNatale). In the aftermath of that trauma, Lindy dropped out of college, moved to New York. She became a hacker so that she could dedicate herself to finding Sara — while occasionally bending the law to help others with their own unsolved missing persons cases.

In the Big Apple, Lindy met Ben (Daniel Lissing), an NYPD Cyber Crimes detective who fell in love with her while he secretly had her under investigation. Dating Ben was the first time Lindy let herself feel anything for another person since Sara’s abduction. After he arrested her, she never forgave him. Ben claimed that by arresting her, he was saving her from a worse fate.

Lindy’s persuaded to try online dating by her hip and trendy roommate, Sophia (Kiersey Clemons). It’s a move that’s supported by Lindy’s other best friend, gossip blogger Connor (John Garet Stoker).

After some time, Lindy begins to suspect that one of her mysterious suitors might be a deadly cyber stalker. As she finds herself the latest target of a serial killer who’s murdering young people in New York, she has to use her hacking talents to work with the very detectives who arrested her.

Catherine Shaw (Melanie Nicholls-King) is the head of the Cyber Crimes division of the NYPD and oversees detectives like Ben and his partner, Tommy (Casey Deidrick), a dry-witted New York native.

A fellow hacker, George (Harvey Guillen) is Lindy’s friend, confidante, and coworker at her day job in the IT department of a financial company. He’s there to lend a hand — legally or otherwise — if she needs it.

Teaming up with this band of hackers, Lindy works to solve the murders and find her sister while unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York City.
