The F Word: Season One Ratings

The F Word with Gordon Ramsay TV show on FOX: season 1 ratings (canceled or season 2 renewal?)

Gordon Ramsay and FOX have enjoyed a lucrative, long-term collaboration beyond the ended series, Kitchen Nightmares. His Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, and MasterChef Junior TV shows have all done well. Even the bi-annual Hotel Hell has racked up numbers higher then some of the network’s scripted series. Now the coarse-mouthed cuisinier is bringing an updated reboot of his UK series, The F Word, stateside. Can it work as a team cooking competition, rather than a food magazine series? Will The F Word be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX? Stay tuned.

The US version of The F Word TV show airs live on the East Coast and live-to tape on the West Coast. Not to point any fingers at Chef Ramsay, but while FOX is emphatic that the “F” stands for food, we still pray there’s a seven second delay. The F Word features foodie teams of families and friends, competing in high-stakes cook-offs. In the season finale, the two top teams will battle for a cash prize. As with the British original, the diners will be celebrities and VIPs. Ramsay will also perform cooking demonstrations and chat with culinary experts, and fans, as well.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

8/17 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
