Last year, fans were able to enjoy the Fear the Walking Dead TV show, without worrying about its cancellation or renewal chances. As the fourth season kicks off, the audience doesn’t have that luxury. Despite two seasons of ratings drops in the 50% neighborhood, it was still AMC’s second highest performing scripted series — behind The Walking Dead, of course. Can it keep its death-grip on second place, this time around? Will Fear the Walking Dead be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned.
An AMC horror drama, Fear the Walking Dead stars Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Rubén Blades, Danay Garcia, and Colman Domingo. In the fourth season, The Walking Dead‘s Lennie James brings his Morgan Jones character to the prequel series, as the recent past merges into the present struggle. While encountering new friends and enemies, the crew will fight for and with each other, as well as against the dead. Also joining in season four are Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, Kevin Zegers, and Evan Gamble. **Status update below.

For comparisons: The third season of Fear the Walking Dead averaged a 0.88 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.364 million total viewers. Compared to season two, it was down by about 52% and 44%, respectively.
