The Flash: EP Teases a New Kind of Villain for Season Four

The Flash TV show on CW: season 4 or canceled?

Who is The Flash facing next? Recently, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teased a new villain for season four of the CW TV series, via The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on the DC Comics series, the superhero drama revolves around young police scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) who’s struck by lightning in a freak accident. The cast also includes Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, and Carlos Valdes. The show is currently in its third season and has already been renewed for a fourth by The CW.

During a recent panel at PaleyFest, Kreisberg revealed season four’s villain will be different from the rest:

Next season, we’re not going to have a speedster as the main bad guy.”

He later discussed season three’s villain, Savitar (Andre Tricoteux):

With Savitar, we know who he is, and we’ve been planning this for a while. The first two seasons were about having fun with his powers, and this season for Barry [Gustin] is really about the pitfalls of having powers, and that’s the story we wanted to tell. That’s why Savitar was the perfect villain for that story.”

What do you think? Do you watch The Flash? Who do you think the season four villain will be?
