The Flash is currently airing its second season on The CW, and he will even make a special appearance on Supergirl on Monday night, but fans of Gustin will never see him take The Flash to the big screen for an appearance in the Justice League films.
Zack Synder revealed why Grant Gustin’s Flash will not appear in the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film now in theaters. According to TV Guide, he said:
“I just don’t think it was a good fit. I’m very strict with this universe and I just don’t see a version where [Gustin’s The Flash would work]… that [tone is] not our world. Even if Grant Gustin is my favorite guy in the world and he’s very good, we made a commitment to the multi-verse [idea], so it’s just not a thing that’s possible.”
Unlike Marvel’s crossing over of their television and big screen characters, fans of DC Comics will never see that happen in their universe. Ezra Miller is The Flash in the new film.
