SPIKE TV’S TOP REAL ESTATE DUO IS BACK AT IT WHEN AN ALL-NEW SECOND SEASON OF “FLIP MEN” KICKS OFF ON JULY 22

Hit Original Series Follows Two Real Estate Investors Who Hope to Turn Foreclosed Property into Profit

New York, NY, June 27, 2012 – Spike TV’s hit original unscripted series “Flip Men” is back for a new season, following Doug Clark and Mike Baird, Utah-based entrepreneurial partners and real estate gurus, as they gamble their financial fates week-after-week by buying and flipping foreclosed properties. The stakes are higher than ever this season, as the pair encounters a myriad of bizarre developments, including a house infested with bees, a drive-thru meth lab, a horrific crime (or potential murder) scene, a drug den and a hoarder’s haven. Ten all-new half-hour episodes of “Flip Men” premiere starting Sunday, July 22 at 10PM ET/PT on Spike TV.

In the premiere episode, Mike and Doug find themselves in unfamiliar, dangerous territory when they realize the house they’ve just purchased has been ransacked by thieves and stripped of all its valuable copper wiring and plumbing. It’s an incredibly expensive job to replace the copper and the guys find themselves running a sting operation and coming face-to-face with the returning thieves in a late night showdown.

Nearly 3,000 homes go into foreclosure every day in America and banks auction off hundreds of them daily. “Flip Men” spotlights the fierce, daily bidding war at housing auctions, where Doug and Mike stake large sums of money to acquire foreclosed homes, often sight unseen. The high-risk decisions are made under intense circumstances, where there is no time for second thoughts, no guarantees and no turning back. Following the purchase, cameras follow them as they enter a newly-purchased house and discover what or who is lurking behind the door. Time is of the essence as they clean up the place, renovate it, stage it, put it on the market and flip it. It’s a race against time, because every passing day means thousands of dollars out of their pocket. Along the way, the hosts take viewers step-by-step through the demanding process, providing useful tips, facts and analysis.
