TV show description:
Based on the 1994 British film by Richard Curtis, the Four Weddings and a Funeral TV show adaptation comes from creators Mindy Kaling and Matt Warburton. The series follows four American friends, Maya (Emmanuel), Craig (Smith), Ainsley (Rittenhouse), and Duffy (Reynolds), as they reunite for a wedding.

Maya works as the communications director for a New York senatorial campaign. Struggling through a heartache, when she gets a wedding invitation from her best college friend, Ainsley, Maya decides to ditch both her professional and personal lives in order to travel to London for the festivities.

While in England, Maya catches up with her old friends Craig and Duffy, which is lovely. However, she also winds up in the middle of their personal crises.

As these friends’ lives intersect through five events, they’ll form some relationships and mourn others, even as a political scandal comes to light. Love will both blossom and die as they attend four weddings — and a funeral.
