10/6/11 UPDATE: The TV series has now been cancelled due to low ratings.

Episode 01-04: Wednesday, 10/5/11
1.0 in the demo (0% week-to-week change) with 3.25 million; fourth place in the timeslot.
Demo average rank: #9 of 11 scripted TV shows currently on the network.
Season average: 1.4 in the demo with 4.08 million.

Episode 01-03: Wednesday, 9/28/11
This ship is sinking fast. Week three dropped another 23% in the demographic to a 1.0 demo rating and 3.07 million viewers. How long before NBC cancels this one?
Season average: 1.5 demo with 4.35 million.

Episode 01-02: Wednesday, 9/21/11
Episode two fell a whopping 38% in the 18-49 demo to a 1.3 rating with just 3.87 million viewers. It was in fourth place in the timeslot, not performing much better than The CW’s doomed H8R series. In addition, Free Agents lost 46% of its lead-in audience. Viewers are clearly rejecting this sitcom.
Season average: 1.7 demo with 5.0 million.

Episode 01-01: Wednesday, 9/14/11
The first episode aired at 10:30pm, following the season finale of highly-rated America’s Got Talent and fellow newbie sitcom Up All Night. Free Agents registered a 2.1 in the 18-49 demographic and 6.12 million viewers. That was a disappointing performance, especially considering that the second 15 minutes of lead-in Up All Night brought in a 3.3 in the demo. In addition, Free Agents lost nearly one million viewers between the start and end of the episode. Those people stopped watching midway through the show and won’t likely return to see the next episode. Not a good start.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
