Watch Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) ask new Top Gear host Matt LeBlanc for a little Joey Tribbiani sugar. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, with LeBlanc, Clarke — a huge fan of Friends — said, “I do have one slight request from you, though… Would you be able to ask me how I’m doing?”
As she laughed and blushed, and the audience hooted, Kate Beckinsale chimed in, “Oh yes, do that!” Norton shrugged and said, “You can say no. Everyone will hate you, but you can say no.”

Laughing, LeBlanc said, “No,” then added, “Yes.” LeBlanc does not watch Game of Thrones. He tried, but couldn’t get into it. Consider this his atonement to the Mother of Dragons. Quietly and before she seemed quite ready, he let out a low-key, “How you doin’?”

Clearly delighted, Clarke giggled and blushed some more as she clapped. Beckinsale said, “I caught that from back here.”
Clarke said, “It works. Thank you.”
Not to be left out, Norton said, “What’s really embarrassing is, when Matt walked out, I went ‘How you doin’?’ and then I said [to himself], ‘Oh shut up! What are you doing’?”
In a later clip, Clarke talked about how her parents were concerned when she wasn’t appearing that much on the show. She encouraged them to watch and ended up watching “Book of the Strangers,” [heavy on the nudity] with them. Norton suggested LeBlanc might want to use that episode to dip back into the series. LeBlanc laughed, nodded and turned to Clarke. “Then I could really see how you’re doin’,” to Clarke’s delight.
