Full House: Sitcom Creator Buys the Real Tanner House

Fuller House

Fuller House

The gang from Full House is getting ready for the second season of Fuller House on Netflixon Friday, but there is more news about the classic sitcom series.

Jeff Franklin has purchased the original home he used for the exterior shots of the home featured in the series. He closed the deal on the home recently for approximately $4 million. The house went on the market earlier this year.

What was his first order of business? To paint the front door red like it was on the sitcom. He said the following to The Hollywood Reporter:

“The house came on the market and really, I just thought, I have to buy this house. I’m so sentimental about the house. It’s great to have the house in our Full House family and be able to preserve it for the fans. … Seriously, I love owning this house. There are probably 250 fans per day that show up and take a picture in front of it. It will be a lot more fun for the fans because now the house will look like the Tanners really live there. It’s a gift to the fans, but it’s also fun for me to own it.”

Franklin plans to put six months of work into the home to bring it up to code, and he does plan to take new exterior shots in front of the home for use on Fuller House.

Are you glad to hear that the house from the series is now a part of the Full House family again? Tell us what you think.
