These child stars have all grown up. Pop has ordered a new docu-series about real-life best friends and former child stars, Jodie Sweetin, Christine Lakin, and Beverley Mitchell, the network announced.
The series is titled Hollywood Darlings and has been ordered for eight episodes.
All three actresses appeared in fan favorite ’90s series. Lakin played Alicia Lambert on the ABC/CBS sitcom Step by Step between 1991 and 1998. From 1996 to 2007, Mitchell starred in the WB family drama 7th Heaven. And Sweetin, of course, played Stephanie Tanner on ABC’s Full House from 1987 to 1995. Most recently, Sweetin appeared in Netflix’s reboot series, Fuller House.
Hollywood Darlings will follow the personal and professional lives of the three friends. No word yet on when it will appear.

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – March 15, 2016 – Three fan favorite child stars of the ’90s – Jodie Sweetin (“Full House,” “Fuller House”), Christine Lakin (“Step By Step”) and Beverley Mitchell (“7th Heaven”) have signed on to star in HOLLYWOOD DARLINGS, a new unscripted docu-comedy series on Pop.
The network ordered eight half-hour episodes, which will follow three lifelong friends who grew up together in “the business,” became household names, and now take on even bigger roles as moms, wives and businesswomen. Their social circles include other celebrities, who will make special appearances throughout the series.
“Our childhood characters prepared us for the roles of our lives… literally. There really aren’t words to describe the way we grew up and the bond we share, so we decided that we wanted to give a glimpse into our unique sisterhood,” said Sweetin, Lakin and Mitchell. “Our fans have always been at the heart of it all, and we love that we have found a home on Pop. We’re so excited to go on this journey and take people inside our lives, post-childhood fame.”
“Anyone who was a TV fan in the ’90s grew up with Jodie, Christine and Beverley -aspiring to be their best friends, wanting to dress like them and using their popular catchphrases,” said Paul Adler, Senior Vice President of Original Programing and Development, Pop. “HOLLYWOOD DARLINGS provides an amazing opportunity for viewers to reignite their fandom for this now grown-up trio whose lives are as entertaining as they are relatable.”
HOLLYWOOD DARLINGS is based on an original concept by Jimmy Fox (“Mob Wives,” “United Shades of America”). The series is produced by Objective Productions USA and All3Media America with Jimmy Fox, Layla Smith and Greg Lipstone serving as Executive Producers.”
