Fuller House: Season Two to Introduce Joey’s Wife and Kids

Fuller House TV show on Netflix: season 2 (canceled or renewed?) Joey Gladstone, wife Ginger, kids.

Netflix.

Cut it out! Uncle Joey has a wife and kids. TV Line reports that in the second season of the Fuller House TV show on Netflix, we will meet Joey Gladstone’s (Dave Coulier) wife Ginger and their four children.

In the report, Ginger is described as an “enthusiastic, upbeat, fun-loving magician.” She will first appear in the season two episode six, when the Gladstones crash the Fuller/Tanner/Gibbler Thanksgiving celebration. TV Line adds, “Like her impression-happy hubby, Ginger is said to be ‘a little clueless in the parenting department’.” No actress is mentioned as having been cast.

Here is more from TV Line:

If you’re wondering why there was no mention of Ginger — or the four children she shares with Joey — in the show’s first season, it all came down to timing.

“It didn’t make it into the script, but at one point, we had him with a wife and kids back in Vegas,” series creator Jeff Franklin told TVLine prior to the series’ debut in February.

Added executive producer Bob Boyett, “It just didn’t fit anywhere in the stories we developed. We had Joey — in the stories we were using him — come in for specific reasons. We just haven’t gotten to everything yet, and we don’t get to everything, even in the 13 episodes.”

(One last thing: We have it on good authority that Joey’s wife is not Ginger the Chimp, whom we met in the Full House Season 5 episode “Too Much Monkey Business.”)

Note: The 13 episodes mentioned above refer to the first season of Fuller House. The TV Line article is quoting an earlier story that ran before the first season premiere. No episode count has been mentioned for the second season of Fuller House, but it is likely to also be a 13 episode season.

What do you think? Who would you cast as Ginger Gladstone?
