How to Get Away with Murder has been shocking fans with twists and turns since it began, and season three of the ABC series will explore a new romance that shocked fans during the finale of season two – a hookup between Asher and Michaela.
Pete Nowalk spoke about the romance plans for season three with TV Line. He said the following:
“I think it’s fun. I really understand how these young people who have been living in a powder keg would grasp at each other. Michaela is going to have to deal with the fact that she just found out another guy she trusted, Caleb, was a crazy, freaking sociopath, so it makes sense to me why she might want to just choose the simple guy who’s right in front of her. In many ways, Asher is a really good boyfriend, and I think he’s probably a generous lover.”
Nowalk also revealed that he plans to dive more into Michaela’s past next season. Fans will learn more about her adoptive family.
