Gilmore Girls: Early Talks Held with Netflix for Second Revival

Will there be more Gilmore Girls? Variety reports Netflix has begun talks for a second revival of the TV show.

In November, the streaming service released Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, a four-part revival special that reunited the stars of the WB/CW series. The cast included Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Sean Gunn, Matt Czuchry, Kelly Bishop, and Milo Ventimiglia.

Earlier, Bledel said there would only be another revival if there was a good story to tell:

I think most, all of us are just wanting to tell a good story. I think that came together in A Year in the Life. The only thing I can say about a future installment of the show would be that it would be about the story and certainly the timing. We want to tell a great story.”

Now, Netflix chief Ted Sarandos says he’s begun discussing the possibility of new episodes with creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino:

We hope. We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped. … The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favourite show to come back and for it to disappoint you but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”

What do you think? Are you a fan of Gilmore Girls? Do you want more episodes?
