The Gilmore Girls revival coming to Netflix is receiving a lot of attention. News of the revival first popped up last week, and fans learned the format the series would take earlier this week. Fans of the series are definitely excited to see Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel on the same small screen again.
However, Gilmore Girls fans do not want to see one character – April Nardini. The character, who was played by Vanessa Marano, broke up Luke and Lorelai, and that caused a massive amount of hate to be sent April’s way.
Marano understood all of the fan hate, but she will wants to return to Stars Hollow for the Gilmore Girls revival. At least, she wants the chance to bring April back and “nerd” out again. Marano currently stars on ABC Family series, Switched at Birth.
She spoke about the revival with E! Online.
“That poor, poor 12-year-old fictional character was hated, which I get. I kind of hated April Nardini, too, as a fan of the show. She broke up Luke and Lorelai! I have no information on it right now. I really hope they’re bringing my character back because I’m such a fan of the Gilmore Girls that…I just want to be able to nerd out more. I mean, between The Comeback coming back last year and Gilmore Girls coming back, I feel like my career as a 12-year-old is being revived.”
