Why are all the new Gilmore Girls episodes dropping at once? Recently, Netflix chief Ted Sarandos spoke to TVLine about the revival’s release schedule.
The new season, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, will feature four, 90-minute episodes that follow Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel), Emily (Kelly Bishop), and the rest of the Stars Hollow crew through winter, spring, summer, and fall.
When asked why the release wasn’t staggered as creator Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted, Sarandos said that wouldn’t have made fans happy:
If we would not have [released them] all at once the fans would’ve killed us. I’m petrified of those fans; they are so passionate.”
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will be released on November 25th.
