Gilmore Girls: Stars Have Mixed Feelings About Making Another Reunion

GILMORE GIRLS

Gilmore Girls returned to the small screen with the arrival of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life to Netflix last week. Will fans see another season of the revival in the future? It is possible, but the stars have no idea if it will really happen.

Both Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel spoke about the possibility of more episodes of Gilmore Girls in an interview with Digital Spy. Alexis said the following:

“The idea was for Amy to get the chance to conclude the story the way she always wanted to. I certainly feel we answer a lot of questions in this and we are delivering things to fans that maybe they wanted and didn’t get from the season seven finale. So, it feels conclusive but I suppose anything is possible, and I don’t have any expectations either way.”

Lauren Graham shared her own thoughts as well. She said:

“It’s hard to say. I’ll be curious when all the episodes are out because this feels like such a grassroots thing – the people brought Gilmore Girls back so I think it’s up to the people if they think the ending feels satisfying enough. If it does I wouldn’t want to touch it. To me it ends in a really satisfying way that could also continue… so I guess we’ll see.”

The end of the revival did leave an opening for a return. This season of the revival could be seen as settling down Lorelai. A new season could settle Rory into her own life after she revealed her pregnancy in the final moments of the revival. Fans never found out who Rory would end up with on the series. Both Jess and Logan are still very much candidates in that department.
