The cable channel has renewed Girls for a fifth season. HBO’s president of programming, Michael Lombardo, made the announcement at an event for the fourth season debut tonight.
While Girls doesn’t attract a very large audience, the ratings for season three of the series were up 14-22%. First airings averaged 800,000 viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
