Good Eats: Alton Brown Discusses Possible Return for Series

Good Eats

Food Network host and bowtie enthusiast Alton Brown recently spoke with online food magazine Eater and addressed the possible return of his popular series Good Eats.

Over the course of 14 seasons, Brown’s series took a scientific approach to cooking that quickly garnered a large fanbase. Throughout its run, the series held consistently high viewership and critical acclaim, earning a Peabody Award in 2006. In 2011, Brown decided to retire the show after a total of 244 episodes and eight specials.

Now, he says he may be considering a reboot … with a key difference:

Eater: We saw your tweet announcing that you’d packed up all of the episodes of Good Eats and were sending them off to storage. We have to ask: Would you ever consider bringing Good Eats back?

Brown: Good Eats… no. No. Something like Good Eats only for digital delivery? Definitely maybe. Definitely… Maybe.”

So … “maybe” not great news but still good news for Good Eats.
What do you think? Were you a fan of Good Eats and Alton Brown? Would you like to see the show return?
