HOT FROM FOX…
FOX ORDERS THIRD SEASON OF HIT DRAMA “GOTHAM”
Paul Reubens (“Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday”) Begins Guest Arc on an All-New Episode Airing Monday, March 21
FOX has renewed hit drama series GOTHAM for a third season, it was announced today by David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.
“It takes a very special team to tell the tales of GOTHAM. For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of GOTHAM and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama,” said Madden. “This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn’t be more proud of this show.”
GOTHAM is averaging nine million Total Viewers across multi-platforms. GOTHAM ranks among this season’s Top 10 entertainment programs overall among Men 18-49, and places among the season’s Top 5 broadcast dramas among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34.
In the all-new episode “Wrath of the Villains: Mad Grey Dawn,” airing Monday, March 21 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX, Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) investigate a trail of clues left in a museum robbery, which, unbeknownst to them, were left by Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse. Meanwhile, Gordon’s past comes back to haunt him when an anonymous person threatens to expose his hand in Galavan’s murder. Also, Penguin’s (Robin Lord Taylor) visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dahl (guest star Paul Reubens), and Bruce (David Mazouz) practices his street smarts.
Later this season, villains continue to invade GOTHAM, as Arkham Asylum and the mysteries it holds take center stage, and Hugo Strange’s (guest star BD Wong) wild experiments create even more chaos and legendary villains.
GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
GOTHAM is based upon the characters from DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Executive producer Bruno Heller wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the “CSI” franchise, “Nikita”). John Stephens serves as an executive producer on the series. “Like” GOTHAM on Facebook at facebook.com/GOTHAMonFOX. Follow the series on Twitter @Gotham and join the discussion using #gotham.
