Happy Endings could return to the small screen – that is if the creator and cast have their way. At a reunion panel held over the weekend, the creator of the ABC series spoke about the possibility of a revival of the series. Happy Endings closed out on ABC after three seasons in 2013.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Caspe said that if “someone would actually let us do it the real way, then everyone would want to do it.” He then looked to the people in attendance from Hulu, which hosted the event.
Hulu has been known to pick up series cancelled by other networks. The Mindy Project was saved by the streaming series after it was cancelled by FOX.
Jonathan Groff, the executive producer of the series, also teased what a fourth season would involve during the event. He revealed that, “they would have played around with Dave and Penny’s relationship, but ultimately had Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) and Dave get married.”
