The season nine premiere of Hawaii Five-0 may seem familiar. TVLine reports the CBS TV show will pay homage to the original series’ pilot this fall.
A reboot of the hit ’70s series, the action drama stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Ian Anthony Dale, Meaghan Rath, Beulah Koale, Jorge Garcia, Chi McBride, Taylor Wily, Dennis Chun, and Kimee Balmilero.
In celebration of Hawaii Five-0‘s 50th anniversary, the season nine opener will recall the original series’ pilot, “Cocoon.” The new season premieres on CBS on September 28th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Mark Dacascos Returns as McGarrett’s Nemesis, Wo Fat
“Ka ʻōwili ʻōka’i” – After Steve’s CIA agent friend is killed, McGarrett lets himself be captured by the group he thinks is responsible and endures a torturous sensory deprivation tank to find the killer. Also, Tani wrestles with whether or not she will tell McGarrett about the murder weapon she found at Adam’s house, on the ninth season premiere of HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Sept. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
