Hawaii Five-0 has added a new woman to its cast for its seventh season. TV Line reported that Rosalind Chao has joined the CBS series as the new governor of Hawaii. Richard T. Jones last appeared in that role on the series. Chao appeared on The O.C. in a recurring role throughout the series.
Chao spoke with the Hawaiian news media about her joining the cast of Hawaii Five-0 earlier this month. She will make her first appearance on the season seven premiere this fall. She revealed to Hawaii News Now that she did not audition for the series. She was offered the role, and she considered joining the series “an honor.”
