Last year, fans kicked off the season not having to worry whether the Hell’s Kitchen TV show would be cancelled or renewed. FOX had previously picked up the 18th season, in September of 2016. This time out, there’s a little more suspense. Will the season 18 ratings justify ordering another installment? Will Hell’s Kitchen be cancelled or renewed for season 19? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A FOX reality TV series, Hell’s Kitchen is a cooking competition, hosted by Gordon Ramsay. The 18th season pits veteran contestants against rookies, with eight losing competitors squaring off against eight newbies. At stake is a Head Chef position at the Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant at Caesars Palace Las Vegas and a cash prize of $250,000.00.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/9 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

For comparisons: The 17th season of Hell’s Kitchen averaged a 0.87 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.13 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Hell’s Kitchen TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a 19th season on FOX?
*2/8/19 update: Ramsay has indicated that Hell’s Kitchen has been renewed for another season.
