Hell’s Kitchen: FOX Series Renewed for Seasons 9 and 10

It looks like things aren’t going to cool down in Gordon Ramsay’s TV kitchen any time soon. FOX has reportedly renewed Hell’s Kitchen for two more seasons. According to EW, seasons nine and 10 will shoot back-to-back starting in April. The plan is to bring the show back in late summer. Seasons seven and eight nearly ran back to back last year, separated by only six weeks.

The last installment of Hell’s Kitchen aired in the fall and, for much of that run, ran two hours each Wednesday night. Both hours generated about the same ratings. The 8pm installments averaged a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.03 million viewers. The 9pm episodes averaged a 2.7 rating and 6.33 million viewers.

The Gordon Ramsay show is the second most-watched reality series on the network and currently ranks as the seventh most-watched series of the FOX season. The chef has also two other shows on the network. Masterchef has been renewed and season two is expected to return this summer as well. The third season of Kitchen Nightmares is currently airing on Friday nights and is averaging a 1.7 demo rating and 4.01 million viewers.

What do you think? Do you like Hell’s Kitchen? Glad it’s coming back for more screaming or do you prefer one of Ramsay’s other shows?
