Is there hope for more Homeland? Recently, director Lesli Linka Glatter spoke with IndieWire about the future of the Showtime TV show.
The political drama has already been renewed for an eighth season. The cast includes Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Elizabeth Marvel, Linus Roache, Maury Sterling, and Jake Weber.
Earlier, star Claire Danes revealed season eight will be the final season for Homeland. However, now director Lesli Linka Glatter tells IndieWire that may not be the case for the Showtime series:
I think there’s still discussion about that, quite honestly. I think it’s still up in the air in some way.”
Linka Glatter says the story for season eight hasn’t even been settled yet:
We’ll go and do our annual spy camp, as we call it affectionately, [where] we go and meet with the intelligence community in D.C. Usually, from those series of meetings, the writers will go in the writers’ room and start cooking up the season.”
