Hot in Cleveland: Season Six Renewal for TV Land Series

Hot in Cleveland season sixTV Land has renewed their Hot in Cleveland sitcom for a a sixth season of 24 episodes. The fifth season is currently airing and is expected to run through the summer and finish in September.

SERIES CELEBRATES 100TH EPISODE TAPING THIS FRIDAY

Los Angeles, CA – May 1, 2014 – TV Land’s hit sitcom “Hot in Cleveland” has been renewed for 24 episodes for a sixth season, it was announced today by Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land. The announcement was made during rehearsal for the series’ upcoming landmark 100th episode, entitled “Win Win,” which tapes this Friday, May 2nd. “Hot in Cleveland” stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White, and is currently airing its fifth season on Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT on TV Land.

“There’s instant magic when our cast, writers and crew get together for each episode,” said Jones. “We’re so excited to be reaching these milestones and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in ‘Cleveland.'”

“Hot in Cleveland” is averaging 2.6 million total viewers since its launch (Source: Nielsen, Premieres Only, 6/16/10-4/23/14). The series revolves around three fabulous best friends from LA – Melanie Moretti, Joy Scroggs, and Victoria Chase (Bertinelli, Leeves and Malick) – who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an emergency landing in Cleveland. When the friends discover that life is better in Cleveland, they decide to stay. Starting over together, they rent a house that happens to come with a very opinioned caretaker, Elka Ostrovsky (White).

“Hot in Cleveland” is executive produced by Emmy(R) Award-winner Sean Hayes (“Will And Grace”) and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions and is helmed by Emmy(R) Award- winning Suzanne Martin (“Frasier,” “Ellen”) serving as executive producer, show runner and writer. Lynda Obst also serves as executive producer, and Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox are executive producers for TV Land. “Hot in Cleveland” is currently seen around the world in 211 countries, and will begin airing in syndication through CBS Television Distribution in September 2014.
