Charlie Sheen is reuniting with producer Chuck Lorre years after their falling out over Two and a Half Men 12 years ago. Per Deadline, Sheen will have a recurring role in Nick Bakay and Lorre’s new Max comedy series – How to Be a Bookie. No details about Sheen’s role in the series have been revealed.

Sebastian Maniscalco, Omar J. Dorsey, Jorge Garcia, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito, and Maxim Swinton will star in the upcoming comedy series. How to Be a Bookie follows a long-time bookie (Maniscalco) as he deals with changing times and the impending legalization of sports gambling. He’s also coping with increasingly unstable clients, family, co-workers, and a lifestyle that bounces him around every corner of Los Angeles, high and low.

Sheen and Lorre enjoyed a very successful collaboration on Two and a Half Men for eight years, helping to make the CBS show one of the most successful comedy series of this century. That partnership came to a crashing end when Sheen had a public meltdown in 2011 and was later fired.

Ashton Kutcher joined the show and the show’s ratings for seasons nine and 10 surpassed those of Sheen’s final year on the sitcom. The numbers waned in seasons 11 and 12, and the decision was made to end it. The sitcom continues to be highly profitable in syndication.

Sheen has since expressed regret over his actions and handling of his exit and wanted to make amends with Lorre. It appears that that has now happened.

The premiere date for the new How to Be a Bookie will be announced later.
