The series premiere had an okay debut with a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 8.98 million viewers. It was in second place for the timeslot, well below The X Factor on FOX. It lost 44% of its demo lead-in from The Big Bang Theory and the network was down by 32% year-to-year (as compared to now-cancelled $#*! My Dad Says). If Gentleman’s numbers don’t improve, it’s unlikely that the sitcom is going to survive.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
