It was a positive start for this new sitcom. The network was on par when compared to the premiere of season two of Suburgatory back in October. Compared to the previous week’s original episode of Suburgatory in the timeslot, ABC was up by 52% in the demo (vs a 1.9 rating) and up by 58% in viewership. As is usually the case, we’ll have a better idea about the show’s chances for renewal in the next few weeks.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
