The sitcom centers on fiercely independent single career woman Alice (Elfman), who falls head over heels for divorced father of three, Ben (S. Schneider). Meeting his kids is so stressful that the very idea triggers the reappearance of her imaginary childhood friend, Mary (voiced by Dratch).
