In Plain Sight: What the Stars Will Miss; What About You?

In Plain Sight series finaleTonight marks the end of USA Network’s In Plain Sight, after five seasons and 61 episodes. In last week’s episode, Mary (Mary McCormack) discovered that her dad (guest Stephen Lang) didn’t make it. In the last episode of the series, Mary has an unexpected family reunion and radical changes take place around the WITSEC office. And, of course, there’s the lingering question of Mary’s relationship with her work partner, Marshall (Fred Weller).

While fans of the show may not be ready to say goodbye, Weller thinks the time is right. He says, “I love the job, but it was time to stop teasing the audience about Mary’s father and about Mary and Marshall… In fact, 12 episodes this season might have been too long. I feel like once those tensions are concluded, after that, it would never really quite be the same show.”

For both Weller and McCormack, it will be their working relationship that they’ll miss most about the show.

Weller noted, “I wanted to get together with Mary to watch the last episode, but we’re going to be out of town… We’ll still hang out but acting with someone is a specific kind of communication. It’s that dynamic, that interaction that I’ll miss.”

McCormack tells THR, “Mostly what I’ll miss is Fred because we worked really well together. I don’t think we ever had an argument. We are like best friends; I’m Godmother to his daughter… We are really partners in real-life. We have each other’s backs and make each other laugh. We spend a lot of hours together and we always enjoy it. I think I’ll miss that most.”

Here’s a little preview of tonight’s series finale:

What do you think? What will you miss most about In Plain Sight? The character relationships, the stories, action, or something else?
