It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 15? FX Hoping for a Renewal

The outlook for another season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is good! Yes, more sunny skies are likely ahead on FX. That is if FX Networks and FX Productions Chairman John Landgraf has his way. Per Deadline, there are talks underway for another season of the comedy. That would make it the longest running comedy by seasons. Right now, it is tied with The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.

Landgraf said the following about the future of the FX series at the TCA’s:

“We’re actively talking to them about more. If [Rob] wanted to make it 15th or 16th season, we would absolutely do it. The show is still good; it’s as good as it’s ever been.”

The Rob is Rob McElhenney. He is the man behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and he has a new series coming soon to Apple TV+, Mythic Quest. He made it clear that his new series does not mean the end to the FX series. He said the following on his Twitter:

“Charlie Day and I would like to cut the death threats off by saying this will in no way affect Sunny. Sunny Always. Always Sunny. There’s room for both you animals.”

Season 14 of the comedy wrapped in November with an average of 299,000 viewers an episode. This was down 18.36 from last season.

What do you think? Are you a fan of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Do you want more seasons of the series?
