“Complicated is an understatement.” Entertainment Weekly reports new episodes of Kingdom will premiere in June on DirecTV.
The mixed martial arts drama stars Frank Grillo, Kiele Sanchez, and Nick Jonas. The first half of season two ended this past December.
ET reports the new season will pick up three months after season 2A ended. Showrunner Byron Balasco says the new season will see “a situation where it’s essentially brother against brother.”
He added:
Only one of them can win and who should it be? It really divides the gym, it shakes things up. Lisa’s not there for a while to sort of navigate that for anybody, so the gym is very much fractured. I don’t think anybody’s quite sure how to deal with it.”
Season 2B of Kingdom debuts on June 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
