In the criminal justice system, there’s only one TV show that’s dominated the world of law and order. It’s Law & Order. Though cancelled by NBC in 2010 after 20 seasons, series creator Dick Wolf recently discussed a possible revival of the popular crime series.
Variety reports Wolf brought the subject up at a party for his Chicago series of shows.
Apparently, Wolf and NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt “said they’ve been trying to get a Law & Order revival off the ground.”
The reboot would be along of the lines of the upcoming X-Files mini-series, a limited number of maybe “10 to 13 episodes” featuring castmembers from different seasons.
Wolf confirmed long-time Law & Order star Sam Waterston is up for the idea, but scheduling is what’s keeping the project from full development.
Wolf continued, “It doesn’t matter when it goes on. It can go on mid-season. It’s just when everybody can time their schedules to do it.”
What do you think? Are you a Law & Order fan? Would you watch a revival?
