Law & Order: SVU will see one of its own return to the series. Richard Belzer departed the NBC series at the end of season fifteen, but he will return when an old case brings him back.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Belzer will return to the series for an episode titled “Fashionable Crimes.” The episode is set to air in May, and it will feature a model that accuses a photographer of a crime.
The photographer is someone Belzer’s character had on his radar before he retired. Fin, who is played by Ice-T, also had issues with the photographer.
Warren Leight said the following about Belzer’s return:
“We love having Richard back on set. This episode was perfect for Munch’s cynical eye, and just the right time for him to give Benson [Mariska Hargitay], and Noah, some much needed support.”
