TV show description:
This competition series is an adult version of the Legends of the Hidden Temple TV show that ran on Nickelodeon 1993-95. The original game show was created by David G. Stanley, Scott A. Stone, and Stephen R. Brown.

The new version moves from the inside of a studio to a scaled-up “jungle” outside. The challenges are tougher and there’s a much bigger prize on the line — $25,000.

A giant talking stone head named Olmec (voiced by Baker) is located at the gate of the game’s temple. In the game, four teams of two go on a quest, but only one team will be “strong enough and smart enough” to enter the ominous Olmec’s Temple, avoid the dreaded Temple Guards, retrieve a lost treasure, and return it to its rightful heir.

Challenges brought back from the original series include the Moat Crossing, The Steps of Knowledge, The Temple Games, and the Temple Run. Team names have also been resurrected for this version: Purple Parrots, Blue Barracudas, Orange Iguanas, Red Jaguars, Silver Snakes, and Green Monkeys.

Series Finale:
Episode #13 — The Aboriginal Australian Legend of the Seven Sisters
Cristela Alonzo cheers on four teams as they compete to win the chance at the Temple Run and $25,000.
First aired: January 23, 2022.
