Legends, Public Morals, Agent X: Series Cancelled by TNT

Legends TV show on TNT: ratings (cancel or renew?)

Variety reports TNT has cancelled three of their series: LegendsPublic Morals, and Agent X.

The announcement comes on the same day the network granted season renewals for The LibrariansMajor Crimesand Murder in the First.

Starring Sean Bean, Legends’ second season premiered in November, after a complete series revamp. Ratings were poor for season one, with an average viewership of only 1.53 million. But even with a new showrunner and serialized approach to the spy drama, the second season has not fared much better in the ratings.

TNT’s new historical cop drama Public Morals debuted in August. However, the freshman series starring Ed Burns as a member of NYPD’s Public Morals Division in the 1960s, performed even worse in the ratings than season two of Legends. Season one only garnered an average 18-49 demo rating of .15 and an average of 880,000 total viewers.

TNT’s other freshman series, Agent X, premiered in November. The series, which stars Sharon Stone as a new Vice President in charge of a secret operative, has fared better than the first season of Public Morals in the ratings, but not by much. With only three episodes left, the series has averaged a total of 1.066 million viewers.

Legends ends it second season on December 28th, while Agent X ends is first and only season on December 27th.

What do you think? Did you watch either Legends, Public Morals, or Agent X? Are you disappointed they were cancelled?
