What’s This TV Show About?
A psychological thriller on the SundanceTV cable channel, Liar stars Joanne Froggatt, Ioan Gruffudd, Zoë Tapper, Warren Brown, Richie Campbell, Jamie Flatters, Shelley Conn, Danny Webb, Rita McDonald Damper, Chu Omambala, Finn Bennett, Akbar Kurtha, Oliver Maltman, Tsion Habte, Ethan Risk, and Frasier Risk. While the widowed Dr. Andrew Earlham (Gruffudd) thinks they had a perfect first date, school teacher Laura Nielson (Froggatt) has a very different perception. The drama examines the respective experiences of both Laura and Andrew and ponders where to draw the line between fact and perception. Liar also recognizes the high price of deception on the liars themselves and their loved ones.

Telly’s Take
Although Liar is not billed as such, it feels like a mini-series. Since it’s a joint production between SundanceTV and the UK’s ITV, its success across the pond will play into whether SundanceTV will cancel or renew it for season two. For now, I’ll keep a hungry eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free updates on any Liar cancellation and renewal news.
