Little Big Shots: Season Two Ratings

Little Big Shots TV show on NBC: season 2 ratings (canceled or renewed for season 3?)

(Evans Vestal Ward / NBC)

Little Big Shots performed very well during its first season on NBC. In the 2015-16 television season, its ratings beat out every other show on The Peacock Network, except for the juggernaut that is The Voice. It also earned similar numbers to the successful summer series, America’s Got Talent. Will it grow its audience in the second season, or will the novelty wear off? Will Little Big Shots be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.

On Little Big Shots, host Steve Harvey has funny, light-hearted chats with child performers. The children exhibit a wide range of talents, and NBC believes they are “the world’s most talented and extraordinary kids.” Season two acts will include a pint-sized cowboy, a snail whisperer, and a professional animal caller, as well as young experts in anatomy, geography, and Shakespeare. Also expect to see kids who are musically gifted — in genres ranging from opera to pop to rap, and on instruments including the piano, guitar, drums and more.  In addition to kids from the US, the second season will also feature talent from Romania, Costa Rica, Brazil, India, England, Russia, Japan, China, Canada, the Philippines, and the Netherlands.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

6/15 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The first season of Little Big Shots averaged a 2.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 11.51 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
