Last Resort: Cancelled Show to Get Real Series Finale

Though ABC has cancelled Last Resort, word is that the network plans to air the remaining six episodes. There’s a bit more good news as well. It now looks like fans of the show will get closure for the show’s ongoing storylines.

Co-creator Shawn Ryan, who recently discussed the cancellation (here and here), tells TVLine that the cancellation notice came down in time for he and the writers to tweak the script for the 13th episode. Last week, he tweeted, “We’re going to give you a no-holds barred kick-ass ending.”

Last month, while the network was trying to decide the show’s fate, ABC ordered two additional scripts. One has to wonder if any parts of those will be incorporated into the finale.
