Season three of Louie is still airing and there are eight original episodes remaining. The five aired installments have averaged a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.07 million total viewers. The season will wrap on September 27th with a special hour-long episode.

BEVERLY HILLS, July 28, 2012 – of the universally acclaimed series Louie and its newest critically acclaimed hit comedy Wilfred, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. FX has ordered 13 episodes for the series’ fourth season.
“There are not enough superlatives in the English language to bestow on Louie or the work Louis C.K. is doing,” said Landgraf. “With this series, he has changed the form and is doing truly groundbreaking, landmark work that is inspiring a whole new generation of artist. Simply put, he is making one of the best shows anywhere on television.”
The current third season of Louie has eight all new episodes remaining this season airing Thursdays at 10:30 PM ET/PT, with a special one-hour season finale airing on Thursday, September 27 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
Louie stars Louis C.K., who recently received his second consecutive Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and his first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. It recently received two Television Critics Association Awards nominations Outstanding Achievement in Comedy and Louis C.K. for Individual Achievement in Comedy. Louis C.K. won the 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. The series received 2011 AFI Award for Most Outstanding Program of the Year, and TIME magazine named Louie the Best TV Series of 2011.
Louie is filtered through the observational humor of Emmy Award-winning comedian Louis C.K. From the inventive imagination of Louis C.K., Louie puts a spotlight on C.K.’s everyday ordeals, his quest to find love and his pursuit of humor. Each episode features a scripted story and a mix of his stand-up comedy, which is original material for the series. The single-camera comedy is shot in New York.
The series debuted in June of 2010 and was widely hailed by critics as one of the best new series of the year Louis C.K. serves as executive producer, writer, director and editor for the series, and M. Blair Breard, Dave Becky and 3 Arts Entertainment are executive producers. The series is produced by FX Productions.
