Lucifer: Stars Talk About Efforts to Save Cancelled FOX TV Show

Lucifer TV show on FOX: canceled, no season 4 (canceled or renewed?)

How is the cast reacting to the cancellation of Lucifer? Recently, stars Tom Ellis and Kevin Alejandro discussed all the efforts to save the cancelled FOX TV show.

The drama stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, who relocates to Los Angeles and begins helping the police solve crimes. The cast also includes Kevin Alejandro, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling.

During an interview with RadioTimes, Ellis discussed the FOX series’ cancellation and the outpouring of fan support:

It’s so disappointing for fans when they don’t understand the decision making process and it’s important to talk about that right now because people get left in the lurch. … The hardest thing for fans to understand is these decisions are business decisions and not decisions that are there to disappoint them.”

Later, Ellis said the fan response has inspired him to help save Lucifer in any way he can:

The response has spurred me on to at least go, ‘OK, well I’m going to go and take part in these conversations’. When you spend so much time working on something it’s hard not to be passionate about it, certainly for me, and the producers want to harness my passion for it and take it around because it’s helpful for them.”

Speaking with CinemaBlend, star Kevin Alejandro said there may be some hope for Lucifer fans:

I know that Peter Roth and Jerry Bruckheimer’s team love Lucifer. Just like we do. And they won’t just let Lucifer disappear. If there’s an avenue, if there’s a they can knock on, they will knock on it, and I know they are presently doing that. Just trying to figure out if there’s a real home for it and they’re gonna explore every avenue that they can and not let it just disappear. And no matter what happens at the end of this, because of the outpour of emotion and response to the show from our fans, it’s just an incredible way to go out if you have to go out this way because we all know that we created something that our fans truly like and enjoy being part of.”

What do you think? Are you a fan of Lucifer? Do you want another season?
