Lucifer‘s in a bit of hot water. The Wrap reports the FOX series’ producing studio, Warner Bros., is being sued by the composers of the show’s theme song.
Just today, FOX announced they’ve renewed the drama for a third season. The cast includes Tom Ellis, Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Tricia Helfer, Rachael Harris, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, and Scarlett Estevez.
The lawsuit, filed by composers Robert and Aron Marderosian, alleges that “Warner Bros. and NS Pictures have commercially used, broadcast and exploited the ‘Lucifer’ main title theme without any agreement with or license from Plaintiffs.” The composers are asking for credit and compensation for their work on the Lucifer theme song,
Neither FOX nor Warner Bros. have made a comment regarding the lawsuit.
