A continuation of The Closer series, Major Crimes follows the further investigations of the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes division. The crime drama’s cast includes Mary McDonnell, Tony Denison, GW Bailey, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Robert Gossett, Phillip P. Keene, Graham Patrick Martin, Kearran Giovanni, and Jonathan Del Arco.
The fourth season of Major Crimes is currently airing on Monday nights and is averaging a 0.54 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.73 million viewers (per the live + same day ratings). Compared to season three, that’s down by nearly 26% in the demo. Still, the crime drama continues to be one of TNT’s highest-rated scripted series.
Executive producer/series creator James Duff and members of the Major Crimes cast broke the news via Twitter and Facebook earlier today:

TNT hasn’t issued a press release about the renewal just yet but one is expected next week. The cable channel ended ordering 23 episodes in season four but the second and third seasons had 19 installments apiece.
What do you think? Do you still like the Major Crimes TV show? How long should the series run? Should season five be the end?
