FXX has renewed the Man Seeking Woman TV series for a third season. The comedy series, based on the Simon Rich book, The Last Girlfriend on Earth, stars Jay Baruchel as Josh Greenberg, and features his dating life. Rich created the scripted show and serves as Executive Producer/Showrunner.
Also starring in Man Seeking Woman are Eric Andre as Josh’s best friend, Mike, and Britt Lower as Liz, Josh’s big sister. Jonathan Krisel, Andrew Singer, Ian Maxtone-Graham, Lorne Michaels, and Broadway Video also executive produce. Man Seeking Woman is produced by FX Productions.

LOS ANGELES, April 12, 2016 – Man Seeking Woman has been renewed for a third season to air early next year on FXX, it was announced today by Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Presidents of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions. The comedy series created by Simon Rich and starring Jay Baruchel recently concluded its second season on FXX with its strongest showing yet as Total Viewers increased +2% (399,000 vs. 393,000) on average over the first season on a Live+7 basis. The 10-episode third season will debut on FXX in early 2017.
“Man Seeking Woman had another great season this year and continues to offer one of the smartest and funniest takes on dating and relationships on TV today,” Grad said. “We are excited to move forward on a third season of Man Seeking Woman with Simon, Jonathan, Andrew, Ian and Lorne, and thank Jay, Eric and Britt for keeping the show so enjoyable.”
Man Seeking Woman follows “Josh Greenberg” (Jay Baruchel) as he soldiers through the life-and-death stakes of dating. The series also stars Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show) as “Mike,” Josh’s confident and daring best friend; and Britt Lower (Sisters) as “Liz,” Josh’s intimidating older sister.
