Mary + Jane is closed for business. Deadline reports MTV has cancelled the TV show after one season.
The comedy starred Scout Durwood and Jessica Rothe as two twenty-something best friends who run an all-female weed delivery service in Los Angeles. The cast also included Kosha Patel, H. Michael Croner, and Dan Ahdoot.
The cancellation doesn’t come as a huge surprise. The freshman series premiered on September 5th to 458,000 viewers and the ratings declined from there. Overall, season one averaged a .20 rating in the 18-49 demo and a total of 368,000 viewers.
Additionally, MTV has decided not to renew its other freshman comedy, Loosely Exactly Nicole.
