Match Game: Season One Ratings

Though the show was created in the 1960s, most people remember the version of Match Game from the 1970s. Can ABC recreate the ratings magic of that version in 2016? Will this version be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.

Hosted by Alec Baldwin, Match Game features contestants trying to match the answers to “fill in the blank” questions with as many celebrities as they can. The grand prize is $25,000. Celebrity panelists include Michael Ian Black, Tituss Bugess, Sutton Foster, Debra Messing, Rosie O’Donnell, and JB Smoove.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
